The instructors for the Metro-Detroit CPA Exam Review are primarily from Walsh College, which emphasizes high-quality instruction and preparation for the CPA Exam. Walsh students have continually scored high marks on the CPA Exam and have won numerous state and national awards. The instructors are constantly updating their lecture materials to keep students informed of recent FASBs, SASs, and IRS rulings.

MBA/CPA, is Chairman of the Accounting Department at Walsh College, where he has been an accounting professor since 1980. He has taught Intermediate Accounting and Auditing for over 30 years and has administered the CPA Exam in Michigan and Maryland. Rick has public accounting experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young. He received the first annual Accounting Educator of the Year Award in 2002 from the Michigan Association of CPAs. He also earned the MACPA 2003 Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award.

MBA/CPA, has been a full-time professor at Walsh College since 1979 and has over 30 years experience teaching Intermediate and Advanced Accounting, including governmental and not-for-profits. Chris has professional experience with Ernst & Young, and has been an advisor to local municipalities on the application of GASB #34. She has compiled close to 20,000 hours of in-class teaching during her career! Chris teaches BEC and Financial Accounting, including governmental, in the review course.

MST/CPA, is a tax lecturer and the owner of a CPA practice. She received her BBA in Accounting from the University of Michigan and her Master’s in Taxation from Walsh College. Barb was an award-winning tax professor at Oakland University for many years and worked as a tax manager for Ernst & Young prior to teaching. She loves teaching and continues to teach tax update seminars for professional organizations, including the Michigan Association of CPAs. Barb teaches 3½ sessions of Regulation.

JD, is a partner at Muller, Muller, Richmond, Harms, Myers & Sgroi, PC, located in Birmingham. Steve is a graduate of Hope College and the Detroit College of Law. In his 16 years as a business law/tax adjunct professor at Walsh College, he has taught four different business law courses: BBA 400, MBA 556, BL 300, and BL 302.
